During Paris Haute Couture Week, I stepped inside Roger Vivier’s L’Atelier des Papillons, an intimate presentation unveiling the Maison’s Pièce Unique Fall/Winter 2026–2027 collection. Under the creative direction of Gherardo Felloni, the presentation celebrated Roger Vivier’s enduring heritage through one-of-a-kind shoes and handbags, where butterflies, sculptural silhouettes, intricate embroidery, crystal embellishments, and exceptional craftsmanship transformed each creation into a work of couture artistry. Rather than presenting accessories as finishing touches, Felloni elevated them as the centerpiece of the Maison’s creative vision, offering a refined dialogue between heritage, imagination, and contemporary luxury.

While couture is often defined by the runway, presentations such as Roger Vivier’s offered a quieter perspective on the artistry behind the season. Each creation invited a closer appreciation of the Maison’s heritage, where exceptional craftsmanship and meticulous detail transformed every shoe and handbag into an expression of creative excellence. As Paris Haute Couture Week continued to celebrate fashion at its highest level, Roger Vivier reaffirmed that couture is found not only in garments, but in the remarkable artisanship that shapes every element of a collection.
